Amy Adams is starring in a new film, but fans have major thoughts about both the content and her related role in the upcoming comedy-horror—so much so, that they're calling on her to "fire her agent" who was responsible for booking the gig.

In the flick, entitled Nightb--ch , the American Hustle actress portrays a woman who is fearful of becoming a dog, according to a synopsis.

In the trailer video—which racked up over one million views on social media in under 24 hours—Adams can be seen chowing down on a container of food sans utensils in one scene, before letting out a bark, while in another, she crawls on the ground on all-fours before digging a hole in the dirt.

"As she embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog," the synopsis continues to provide.

Since its release, the preview clip has rubbed several fans of the actress the wrong way, as they took to social media to express confusion over why the six-time Oscar nominee would feel compelled to accept the role.

"Amy deserves better," one wrote on X (formerly Twitter), in part, while another bluntly urged , "Amy Adams fire your agent."

"Why just why," a third wondered, and a fourth echoed the above sentiment: "amy adams should fire her team for this."

"This looks demeaning for both Amy Adams and the audience. No thanks," yet another added .

On the other hand, some showed interest in seeing the film, even joking that it looks to be relatable.

"This is so weird and wtf and oddly I completely relate as a new mom at 40," someone added in response, as an additional fan exclaimed , "Can. Not. Wait!"

Nightb--tch is based on the 2021 novel by Rachel Yoder , and is due to hit theaters on Dec. 6, 2024.
