French Bulldog Throws Hilarious Hissy Fit When Dad Dares to Defy Bedtime Rules

Bedtime is a sacred thing. Most beings on Earth have a bedtime ritual they follow, and straying too far from it results in a bad night's sleep. It throws off the whole next day. Just stick to it, truly!

One Frenchie feels that sentiment much more than his dad, as it turns out. Recently, he went off to do his night routine, which usually ends with him getting in bed with his dad without a second thought. Dad wasn't there, though, and he had quite a few words to say about that:

Mason Barnaby the Frenchie is one of the only dogs I've ever seen whose name truly just fits him. That is absolutely a Mason Barnaby.

Mason is about 5 years old (he was actually born on Thanksgiving in 2019, because he knew his birthday should have been a holiday), and he's been with his dad since he was just a baby. As a pandemic puppy, Mason became a little bit of a brat - he has special stairs to get up onto the bed and the couch, goes on as many walks as he wants, and gets more treats than he probably should. He's living the dream!

Or, at least he'd like to be, but dad kept him up. He was ready for bed, but dad's show hadn't wrapped up yet, and there's nothing worse than ending on a cliffhanger. He was caught between a rock and a hard place, and facing Mason's wrath was a little easier. Hopefully they didn't go to bed angry!

Pandemic Puppies Suffer From Separation Anxiety

When the pandemic hit, we all did approximately three things: learned how to crochet, played Animal Crossing: New Horizons , and decided to get puppies. While we were stuck at home, training a puppy would take up some of the time we were wasting, and it provided a companion. We got one, and we don't regret it at all.

However, it wasn't normal. Because we had nowhere to go and weren't supposed to hang out with others, most of our pandemic puppies didn't really have the chance to develop social skills like normal puppies do, and they didn't learn independence. When the world opened back up, many pandemic puppy parents were met with a difficult reality: our puppies had terrible separation anxiety , because they hadn't really been separated from us before.

Because Mason Barnaby would've gone home to his parents a little bit before the pandemic, he likely got to have some time to socialize, and videos have proven that he has no problem meeting new pups. He's incredibly lucky to just be a little bit of a brat!
