Dogs can be quite sneaky when they are hungry. Some quietly lurk in the shadows, waiting for us to turn our backs so they can grab a treat, while others have been known to climb chairs and go counter-surfing to get a bite of their favorite foods.

In this dog’s case, he believed he had committed the perfect culinary crime. Unfortunately, he left some evidence that revealed his secret. Check out this video from August 2 to see where his hilarious heist went wrong.

In Dior’s defense, Mom (@ bigbrinaxo ) had left a bowl of ramen out overnight and within his reach. The fact he didn’t devour the entire serving is pretty impressive. Finding the will to resist would’ve been difficult for my pups. However, it appears he got himself a little taste. The evidence of this theft was a single noodle hanging from his charming lips. LOL! Whether he was smart enough to leave the rest behind in an attempt not to get caught or if he just wasn’t a fan of the flavors is something we may never know. What we do know is that Dior is an expert at playing it cool and pretending like nothing has happened. He is familiar with the laws and understands it can’t be used against him if he doesn’t admit anything.

Teaching Dogs to Leave Human Food Alone

According to Wag, you can teach your dog the “Leave the Food” method by placing a plate of human food in front of them. When they approach the plate, instruct them to “leave it.” When they listen, give them lots of praise and a high-value treat hidden in your hand. Wag advises not to punish your dog if they don’t catch on at first. Instead, be patient and repeat this process. This method works for most dogs and can help teach them to avoid taking food and putting other potentially hazardous items into their mouths.

This dog’s intelligence amused people. Viewer @def.not_.riah responded, “The fact that he didn’t even eat all, not to make it obvious.” Their ability to think through these decisions is almost frightening. Viewer @samscareall remarked, “At least he left you some. That’s sweet. My Frenchie would have eaten that whole bowl clean and puked on the floor after.” LOL, perhaps he was craving something sweet instead of salty. Viewer @ShodKemp responded, “Don’t be suspicious, don’t be suspicious!” He was certainly trying his best.

Luckily, this adorable dog didn’t indulge in the entire bowl. Otherwise, Mom may have woken up to a scene that wasn’t so pleasant.
