Woman Shares Peek at Cat Convention in California That's Perfect for All Kitty Lovers

If you're a dog person, it's pretty easy to find other dog people out in the world. Chances are you'll see them when you're out and about with your dog, because they'll be out walking theirs. But if you're a cat person, it's not so easy to meet others who want to talk about cat parent life with you. The majority of humans do not take their cats out on walks, so how do you know who's just as obsessed with felines as you are?

That's part of why the event that this cat lover shared in a TikTok video looks so appealing, but the other part is that it also seems like it's a lot of fun. Yes, cat conventions exist, and this one looks awesome.

Recently, Sarah Naini shared her experience at CatCon in Pasadena, California, which took place the first weekend in August. Even just looking at the clips in her TikTok video, it seems like a really fun atmosphere!

Not only were pet care companies all set up with their booths (and handing out freebies along the way), but there were also vendors sharing cat merch for both humans and cats, and she got to meet some of her favorite cat influencers.

(In case you were wondering what a cat influencer is, it's exactly what it sounds like — and this year's event included appearances from Nathan the Cat Lady, Lily Rose Adventures, and more.)

The details for next year's convention haven't been released yet, but it doesn't hurt to start planning now if you know you want to be there in 2025 to experience this for yourself!

    More About CatCon

According to the official CatCon website, there was also plenty of entertainment to be found, from Q&A sessions to meet and greets to appearances by multiple veterinarians who were on hand to answer questions and share their professional, expert opinions. Plus, there were workshops for cat parents along with a village of adoptable kitties. OMG!

What intrigues me most is the shopping — if you're going to go to this convention, you should definitely bring plenty of spending money so you can spoil yourself and your cat rotten.

Ticket prices are surprisingly affordable for a convention — this year's were priced at $80 for the full weekend of events, but stay tuned for next year's prices.

If you don't live in Pasadena, there's a good chance that you can find a CatCon local to you. This list is a good place to start, and includes conventions and cat-related events from all around the United States.

Good luck living your best kitty loving life out there!
