DIY'er Creates Coolest Cat Bed Out of Kids' Toy Jeep and It's Epic

The internet is full of crafty trends, especially in the pet space. Some of the things people make for their fur babies are pretty awe-inspiring. One kitty named Cosmo got the benefit of one particular creative trend after his mom took a toy Jeep and transformed it into a really cool cat bed. The results are amazing!

A TikTok video posted by @mayyaillusion shows the process of taking the Jeep from an old toy to the cat bed of Cosmo's dreams. Watch the video and prepare to be impressed!

"So excited to paint the details and make this COZY for Cosmo," the caption reads. The video shows the woman preparing the truck by doing a thorough cleaning to bring it back to life. Next, she carved out the top handles because Cosmo is "plus size," and then took it outside for a new coating of baby blue spray paint.

The video ends by showing just the basic vision for the new bed, but people were invested already.

"Cosmo is a lucky kitty, this is so cool," one person wrote. "I’m loving that I’m finally on the DIY side of TikTok!! My people," another said. "Omg! Too stinking cute!" another added before two additional clips were posted.

The second follow-up video shows the painting of details, including a cartoon portrait of Cosmo on the hood, while the third video in this saga reveals Cosmo's reaction to the finished product. Let's just say a lot of catnip was involved, and Cosmo is a little too large to fit comfortably on the bed, but this transformation is still the cutest thing!

Do Cats Need Cat Beds?

If you've ever had a cat, you know they love curling up in a soft, cozy spot made just for them. Catster explains cats do need cat beds because it gives them comfort and a sense of security they can't get anywhere else. Cat beds not only give them a space that's only theirs, but lying in a soft enclosed area keeps them from feeling exposed or vulnerable.

Think of a cat bed like a retreat. It's a place they can go to feel safe. Sure, they'll find other spots like your bed or a bathroom rug, but providing them with their own bed makes for a happier kitty.

Maybe Cosmo didn't quite get the full benefit of his new bed (due to his size). However, cats are said to be "liquid-like," forming to whatever small space they can, so if he really wants to fit in his Jeep, he will! In the meantime, it sure looks cool!
