On Sunday at 3:36 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated flash flood warning in effect until 7 p.m. for Chester County. "At 3:36 p.m., Doppler radar indicated the strongest thunderstorms producing heavy rain have shifted south and east of the warned area, however some additional showers continue. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly," says the weather service. "This includes Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 301 and 317."
