Park City’s Winter Sports School has made significant progress toward its $5 million goal for campus upgrades, thanks to a donation from the U.S. Ski & Snowboard team, which is the governing body for snow sports competitions.

The Winter Sports School has been actively fundraising through its Reaching New Peaks Campaign, aiming to finance an 8,732-square-foot expansion of its current building, along with renovations and the installation of an amphitheater.

While the press release did not disclose the exact amount donated by U.S. Ski & Snowboard, it did reveal that the school has raised $2.8 million so far. The school aims to commence the project this fall.

The press release reveals that 24 student-athletes from the school are currently active members of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard team. It also mentions that the donation from U.S. Ski & Snowboard was made possible through a community task force dedicated to supporting Park City nonprofits.

Park City and Utah in general are some of the most popular locations for skiing and snowboarding in the entire country, being known for having "the greatest snow on earth". With training and progression facilities like Woodward Park City and a handful of resorts within close distance to the city, there will certainly be some future athletes coming out of these parts in the years to come.
