Twins catcher Christian Vazquez showed a ridiculously outside target against Javy Báez and of course it worked
For the money, there isn’t really a worse hitter than Tigers shortstop Javy Báez. He ranks near (or at) the bottom in virtually every hitting metric this season, and his abysmal plate discipline makes for an easy matchup whenever a pitcher gets Báez in a two-strike count.
Twins provide an update on Jose Miranda after he was hit in the head by a pitch
Jose Miranda needed to exist Sunday's game in Detroit after the Minnesota Twins third baseman was struck in the side of the head by a pitch. It happened in the top of the first inning, when an Alex Faedo fastball came high and inside, hitting Miranda in the side of his helmet and sending him to the dirt. Miranda stayed down for a considerable amount of time, with the Twins training staff attending to him, but he was eventually able to get up and walk back to the clubhouse under his own power.

Game 103: Twins at Tigers
I’m struggling to think of a trade deadline in recent memory with more roster churn than the Twins are experiencing now — and they haven’t even made a deal yet. With the health status of the 26-man in constant flux, the team has already returned Royce Lewis and Jose Miranda to the infield fold, with Carlos Correa due behind them in what is hopefully short order. As a result, folks like Edouard Julien have returned to the minors, and others like Kyle Farmer remain in IL limbo.

Twins' frustratingly frugal trade deadline plans somehow just got even worse
It seems the Minnesota Twins didn't learn any lessons from what ended up being one of the most frustrating offseasons fans have been forced to endure. Technically the Twins did learn a lesson, it was just the wrong one. Minnesota chased its most succesful postseason run since 2002 by slashing the payroll by $30 million. This came amid concerns over lost future revenue thanks to Diamond Sports Group's bankruptcy leaving the Twins without a television deal.
