Rabid Raccoon Reported on Deans Lane in South Brunswick
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - A rabid raccoon was found near Deans Lane in South Brunswick on Saturday, according to the township. The raccoon was retrieved by animal control and was reported to the New Jersey State Department of Health Laboratory. It was confirmed to have rabies on Wednesday. According to a press release, the raccoon had an altercation with a resident’s dog. It is the third rabid animal detected in Middlesex County for this year, according to a press release.
