Parsons Police are investigating a shooting that led to the death of one man

Parsons, KS – Police in Parsons, Kansas arrest a man for fatally shooting another man. The incident happened Wednesday night. Police say they arrived on the scene to find Tylor Abshere lying in the street with a gunshot wound. Officers found and arrested Michael Morales, who was hiding behind a tree with a gun in hand. Later police found Maurice Harper with a gunshot wound, inside a home. Abshere is receiving care for his injuries, but Harper died from his. Official charges are still pending.

Joplin, MO – Authorities in Joplin responded to a two-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon in downtown Joplin. Joplin police say a vehicle traveling south, failed to yield to a vehicle heading west resulting in the crash. Authorities say one person involved was not responsive and was later pronounced dead.

Afton, OK – The Northeast Tech Afton campus served as a launch pad for a collaboration with tango flights. Students enrolled in the STEM program had an opportunity to earn their wings by building an aircraft meeting FAA standards. The project exposed students to an array of STEM principles as well as provided them with practical skills and insights into the aviation industry.
