UTV Accident In SW Wisconsin Injures Illinois Woman
An Illinois woman suffered minor injuries in an UTV accident in southwest Wisconsin. The Layfayette County Sheriff says the accident happened just after 5 o’clock yesterday on a trail in Willow Springs Township. Authorities say the UTV operated by 64-year old Tammy Johnson of Cambridge, Illinois struck a fence crossing due to poor visibility, and overturned. Johnson was not injured, however a passenger 53-year old Rachel Streeter of Lynn Center, Illinois suffered injuries and was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Darlington for treatment.

Illinois Representatives Sorensen, Durbin, And Duckworth Reveal $25.4 Million Funding For Mass Transit Districts
Illinois Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17), along with U.S. Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) and U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL), have announced that the Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District (MetroLINK) and the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District will receive a total of $25,415,095 in funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation. MetroLINK will be awarded $10,000,000, while the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District will receive $14,415,095.

A nine-month investigation by the Illinois Answers Project found an alarming number of Illinois jails are torturing people using restraining chairs.Some detainees were allegedly restrained for prolonged times, causing physical injuries and psychological trauma.
