NEWKIRK — A warrant is issued for Travis James Milbourn, 32, and a court date set for Lacy Laverne Wilson, 35, both of Ponca City, in Kay Count District Court. Both are facing three felony counts of computer fraud, unlawful use of a computer system, uttering a forged instrument and conspiracy.

Fire units respond to newspaper office
PONCA CITY — Ponca City firefighters responded to The Ponca City News office, 300 N. 3rd Street just after 3:30 p.m. today for a report of an electrical fire. Employees were asked to evacuate the building as firefighters searched for the issue. Fire crews checked the air conditioning units on the roof and the breaker box. At 3:44 p.m. firefighters determined that the problem was a HVAC unit on top of the roof and the power was shut off. All of the fire crews were back in service by 3:48 p.m.
Court date set for Blackwell man in attempted arson case
NEWKIRK — A court date is set for Daniel Don Ryan, 49, Blackwell, in Kay County District Court. Ryan is facing a felony charge of attempted first degree arson. Blackwell police report that on May 30 a female came to the police station reporting that Ryan threatened to kill her, himself and a juvenile and that he tried to set the house on fire with a torch.
