Broken Arrow Using State Funding To Support Infrastructure Near Amphitheater
The City of Broken Arrow is taking advantage of millions of dollars in state funding to help bolster the infrastructure near a new Amphitheater coming to BA. The program through the State Department of Commerce is designed to help projects that promise to bring tourists to Oklahoma. City leaders say the money will go a long way to support the much-anticipated project.
Honey Springs director leaving to take history teaching position in Eufaula
Honey Springs hosted their Annual Memorial Service on Saturday, July 13, commemorating the 161st anniversary of the Battle of Honey Springs. Following the meeting, a going-away party was given for Battlefield Site Director Adam Lynn, who is resigning to become history teacher at Eufaula High School, replacing Roger Thompson, who retired earlier this year.

DALLAS – Oklahoma safety Billy Bowman Jr. has become a leader for the Oklahoma program. Last season, Bowman Jr. made many big plays for the Sooners. To his six interceptions, the three of them he returned for touchdowns, and his ability to keep Texas receiver Xavier Worthy out of the endzone to secure the Sooner's spectacular goal-line stop. He was named to the All-Big 12 first team, named an All-American, and likely would have been a 2024 NFL Draft pick had he not opted to return to OU for one more season.
