Peekskill Senior Picnic Brings Food, Music, and Community Together
The Nutrition/Senior Services Department of Peekskill, New York hosted its yearly Senior Picnic on June 28th at the Riverfront. Seniors participated in the event, enjoying food and music. Bergen County gas station attendant charged, accused of overcharging customers
A Park Ridge gas station attendant at Delta Gas was charged and accused of repeatedly overcharging customers, police said on Tuesday. Police alleged the unidentified attendant at the Kinderkamack Road Delta would manually charge more money when customers would use credit cards. When called out on the discrepancy by drivers, the attendant pretended it was a mistake and gave back the money, police said.
Fireworks set in City of Newburgh
CITY OF NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh will hold its annual Independence Day fireworks display on July 4. The fireworks display will be launched at 1 Washington Street (a.k.a. People’s Waterfront Park), at around 9 p.m. Setup time will begin at 6 p.m. To help protect public safety, 1 Washington Street will be closed to the public from the time of setup until the event has concluded.

Haverstraw has a show at around 9:30 p.m. July 2 (with a July 3 rain date) at Bowline Park, and you can view from behind the Lady Warren Hose Co. #5 firehouse during the volunteer department's wing night! Fireworks shows are slated for the July 3 and July 4 Boulders games. Around 9 p.m. July 4, Nyack hosts a fireworks show with people gathering at Memorial Park in Nyack (bring a chair or blanket — and bonus, you likely will also see displays at Tarrytown and Irvington across the river).
