    Tazewell's priciest: All 10 homes sold for under national median price in January

    Seen through a national lens, the 10 most expensive homes sold in Tazewell County last month were quite inexpensive.

    According to data from realtor.com, the national median list price for a home in January was $409,500. The priciest Tazewell County home sale for January was $385,000.

    Washington was easily last month's destination of choice for Tazewell County home buyers, contributing six addresses to the January round-up. Two homes on the list were in Morton, and the remaining two were in Manito and Groveland.

    Here's a look at the top 10.

    10. 12 Lakeview Drive, Groveland

    This 1,890-square-foot home's amenities begin with access to a lake. Containing three bedrooms and two baths, it also features a deck, two gas log fireplaces, a porch and a wet bar. It was built in 1976 and occupies a .45-acre lot in Norther Oaks Estates.

    The home was sold Jan. 11 for $238,000. Keller Williams Revolution was the listing agency.

    9. 807 Firethorn Drive, Washington

    This 2,150-square-foot ranch has three bedrooms and three bathrooms while sitting on a .33-acre lot in the Firethorn subdivision. Built in 1988, it features an irrigation system, a new roof, a porch and a partially finished basement with a recreation room.

    RE/MAX Traders Unlimited listed the home, and it was sold Jan. 12 for $240,000.

    8. 223 E. Maywood St., Morton

    This three bedroom, two bath home was built in 1961 on a 10,200-square-foot lot. The home offers 1,666 square feet of living space. Features include a fenced back yard, a shed, a deck, and many recent upgrades and new appliances.

    The home was sold Jan. 19 for $241,500. Keller Williams Premier Realty was the listing agency.

    7. 1622 Savile Lane, Washington

    This two-story home in Washington's Hunter's Glen subdivision contains four bedrooms and four baths in its 1,768 square feet of living space. It occupies a 4,791-square-foot lot and was built in 2016. Amenities include a fenced back yard, an oversized patio, a finished basement with a family room and two attached garage spaces.

    Listed with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, the home was sold Jan. 4 for $247,500.

    6. 14272 Grandview Drive, Manito

    The listing for this 2,741-square-foot home promised a mix of country living and easy access to city amenities. Built in 2005, it contains five bedrooms and three baths. Features and upgrades include a wood-burning fireplace, an expanded yard barn, a new roof and siding, a porch and a deck.

    Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group listed the property, and it was sold Jan. 26 for $250,000.

    5. 441 S. Montana Ave., Morton

    Built in 1975 on a 3-acre lot, this 3,176-square-foot ranch contains four bedrooms and three baths. Features include a deck with a detached gazebo and hot tub, a fenced back yard with solar lights and a shed, and a partially finished basement with a recreation area.

    The home was sold Jan. 16 for $301,000 through RE/MAX Traders Unlimited.

    4. 704 Simon St., Washington

    A 3,167-square-foot open floor plan ranch, this home features a gas log great room fireplace, an attached tow-stall garage with an electric vehicle charger, a deck and a finished walk-out basement. It was built in 2004 on a 10,454-square-foot lot and contains four bedrooms along with three baths.

    The home was sold Jan. 25 for $329,900. EXP Realty, LLC was the listing agency.

    3. 702 Firethorn Drive, Washington

    The newly remodeled home was built in 1990 on a .34-acre lot. Its 3,062 square feet of living space contain four bedrooms and four baths. Key selling points included a partially finished basement with a family room and game room, a wood-burning living room fireplace and a patio with a fire pit.

    Listed with Sunflower Real Estate Group, LLC., the home was sold Jan. 26 for $342,500.

    2. 211 Windridge Drive, Washington

    This two-story home's key selling points include a finished basement with an exact replica of a Frank Lloyd Wright fireplace, a wine cellar and a home theater. The home has an open concept layout, a deck, a gazebo and a new hot tub. Built in 1989 on a private wooded lot, its 4,530 square feet of living space accommodate three bedrooms and four baths.

    Keller Williams Premier Realty listed the property. It was sold Jan. 15 for $358,000.

    1. 1107 Devon Lane, Washington

    The most expensive home sold in Tazewell County last month was this updated five bedroom, three bath house in Washington's Devonshire Estates. Along with 3,245 square feet of living space, it offers an open concept main living area with a gas log fireplace, a finished basement with a recreation area, granite kitchen counter tops, and a deck. The home was built in 2015 on an 8,925-square-foot lot.

    The property was listed with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, and was sold Jan. 16 for $385,000.
