    East Peoria home tops Tazewell County's 10 priciest for February

    January was notable regarding Tazewell County home sales because all of the 10 most expensive homes sold that month were under the national median home price.

    February was somewhat more active for high-end Tazewell County home purchases, with two homes selling for more than the U.S. Census Bureau’s estimated national median cost of $420,700.

    Once again, Morton and Washington led the monthly round-up with four and three homes on the list, respectively.

    Two of the remaining homes were in Pekin, and East Peoria rounded out the list with the county’s most expensive February home sale.

    10. 26 Oriole Lane, Pekin

    This 2,340-square-foot home occupies a 1.6-acre wooded lot. Built in 1960, it contains three bedrooms and three baths; and features an all-brick Frank Lloyd Wright architectural design, a deck, a patio, and a four-stall attached garage.

    Listed with The Real Estate Group Inc., the home was sold Feb. 20 for $275,000.

    9. 1901 Fieldstone, Washington

    Built in 1999 on a .36-acre lot, this three-bedroom, four-bathroom home in Washington’s Stonegate subdivision offers 2,547 square feet of living space. Key selling points included a wooded back yard, a finished basement with a recreation room, a gas log fireplace, a patio and a deck.

    The property was sold Feb. 5 for $280,000. Jim Maloof/Realtor was the listing agency.

    T7. 733 Labrador Way, Washington

    This 2,285-square-foot home features a two-story foyer, granite kitchen counter tops, a gas log living room fireplace and a primary bathroom Jacuzzi tub. It was built in 2017 on a 9,800-square-foot lot and contains four bedrooms and three baths.

    Listed with RE/MAX WRC Downtown, the home was sold Feb. 9 for $330,000.

    T7. 2005 Dane Kelsey Drive, Pekin

    This 3,360-square-foot ranch’s selling points began with the .61-acre lakeside lot and access to another lake with a sand beach and clubhouse. Other features included a landscaped yard, a stone-lined path to the beach, a double-faced great room fireplace, an irrigation system, a deck and a finished basement. Built in 1998, it contains two bedrooms and three baths.

    The home was listed with Jim Maloof/Realtor and was sold Feb. 21 for $330,000.

    T5. 1501 S. Missouri Ave., Morton

    A 2,602-square-foot ranch on a .28-acre lot, this home contains four bedrooms and three baths. It was built in 2012 and features an irrigation system, a deck, a gas log great room fireplace, a large paver patio and a professionally landscaped yard.

    The home was sold Feb. 29 for $365,000. RE/MAX Traders Unlimited was the listing agency.

    T5. 58 Waldheim Road, Morton

    This 3,811-square-foot ranch in Morton’s Waldheim subdivision features a finished basement with a large recreation and wet bar, an in-ground pool, a patio and a gas log family room fireplace. The home was built in 1978 on a .75-acre lot and contains four bedrooms and four baths.

    4. 1002 Tottenham Court, Washington

    This five-bedroom, four-bath ranch offers 3,550 square feet of living space and a .65-acre lot. Built In 1983, it features a screened deck, a partially finished walk-out basement and two wood-burning fireplaces.

    Listed with RE/MAX WRC Downtown, the home was sold Feb. 27 for $405,000.

    3. 238 Pocono Ave., Morton

    This 3,332-square-foot, two-story home on a 7,875 square-foot lot in Morton’s Fieldstone subdivision was built in 2009. Containing five bedrooms and four baths, it features a patio, a porch, a living room fireplace, a finished walk-out basement and three attached garage spaces.

    Listed with Jim Maloof/Realtor, the home was sold Feb. 16 for $410,000.

    2. 311 Stonecrop Road, Morton

    This custom-built Kent Eigsti home was constructed in 2005 and contains five bedrooms and five baths. In addition to 5,545 square feet of living space, it features two master suites, Amish cherry wood cabinets, a finished basement with a recreation area and a sound recording studio, hard rock maple floors and a three-stall garage with an electric vehicle charger.

    The home was sold Feb. 9 for $491,500. Keller Williams Premier Realty was the listing agency.

    1. 128 Village Dive, East Peoria

    Amenities for Tazewell County’s most expensive home sold in February include two composite decks leading to a heated in-ground pool and hot tub, a stone-fronted gas fireplace, a wooded 2.47-acre lot, and a finished basement with a large recreation room. Built in 1999, its 5,140 square feet of living space contain four bedrooms and six baths.

    Adam Merrick Real Estate listed the property. It was sold Feb. 21 for $635,000.
