City of Peoria receives $50,000 grant to plant more trees
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Peoria is about to become a little bit greener after the city was awarded a grant to plant more trees. The $50,000 grant was given to City Hall by the Morton Arboretum‘s Chicago Region Trees Initiative. Trees will be planted in areas that don’t have many trees currently.

Local broadcast family leaves Illinois radio broadcast industry selling remaining stations
After almost 70 years, the Neuhoff Family has exited the Central Illinois broadcast radio industry in a final agreement to sell several radio channels. Neuhoff Family Limited Partnership announced on Monday an agreement between Neuhoff Media LLC in Springfield and Bloomington to sell seven different channels to Woodward Communications, Inc, or WCI.
Coming soon to Northwoods Mall in Peoria: 55,000 square feet of family entertainment
PEORIA – A new anchor store is planning to open at Northwoods Mall in the form of a family entertainment center. The Tilted 10 amusement complex is expected to feature bowling lanes, two miniature golf courses, and more than 100 video and virtual reality games, according to Julie Revallo, the Northwoods Mall general manager. The 55,000-square-foot center will also offer food, as well as party rooms for special gatherings.
