Pekin firefighters battle house fire late Tuesday night
TAZEWELL COUNTY (25News Now) - A fire in in Tazewell County late Tuesday night heavily damaged a home and a vehicle that was on the property. Pekin Firefighters Local 524 said on its Facebook page that crews were on the scene of a working structure fire near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Cypress Point, which is in Country Club Estates between Pekin and Groveland.

We’ll get a break from the rain Wednesday as one system moves out and we await the next system. Wednesday afternoon highs will be in the upper 80s. Now our attention turns to the Thursday the 4th of July. Two waves of scattered showers and thunderstorms will come our way in the mid-morning and late evening but there’s a glimmer of hope because models are trying to push the evening rain south of I-74 so local fireworks displays may not be affected by the weather.
