PHS Beta Club Living Literature Team competes at Nationals
The Pelahatchie High School (PHS) Beta Club’s Living Literature team recently traveled to Savannah, GA, to compete in the National Beta Convention. These exceptional students represented Pelahatchie well both in competition and in character. PHS is proud of them and grateful to the Tribe community for helping them make this a reality. The Beta Club also wants to thank Tip Nutt and Brandon Herd for volunteering to drive.

Freedom Fest Brings Local Churches and Community Together for July 4th Celebration
Crossgates Baptist Church, the City of Brandon, and Hometown Magazines partnered in hosting the first annual Freedom Fest at the Brandon Amphitheater on Wednesday. Guests could enjoy food, bouncy houses, a rock climbing wall, a bike parade, pie eating contests, and a cornhole tournament. There was also a concert featuring patortic tunes and worship music from special guest Charles Billingsley and a community choir. The event concluded with a fireworks finale at dark.

Mississippi Flood Warning Continues….. No Sign of Ending Soon
A Flood Warning continues on the Mississippi River with no end in sight. The latest river level this morning shows the Mississippi at Dubuque sitting at 22.2 with a slow rise. The latest forecast from the National Weather Service shows the river now reaching 22.4 feet sometime Tuesday and staying above 22 foot level through at least next Friday.
