SCOTLAND COUNTY, N.C. (WBTW) — A 50-year-old Pembroke man is facing charges after Scotland County deputies recovered more than $40,000 worth of equipment that was stolen from a Smithfield Foods farm.

Jimmy Joe Paul Jacobs was charged with three counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and one count of breaking and/or entering. He was given a $25,000 bond and taken to the Scotland County Detention Center.

Deputies said the equipment was stolen on July 1 from the farm on McGirt’s Bridge Road. After getting a tip on Wednesday, authorities recovered all of the equipment at a home on Chav-an Road in Maxton.
