One motorist was transported to the hospital following a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Riverview and Boston Mills roads in Boston Township Saturday, said a Peninsula police officer who responded to the scene.

The officer said he did not know if the injuries were life-threatening and that paramedics were treating the injured person when he arrived.

The crash involved a motorcycle and three cars.

In addition to Peninsula police, Valley Fire District, National Park Service and Summit Metro Parks responded to the scene, the officer said. The crash happened within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park near the Boston Mill Visitors Center.

Pamela Barnes, public information officer and community engagement supervisor for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, confirmed that the accident involved four vehicles.

A dispatcher from Valley Fire declined to provide comment to the Beacon Journal, and the Beacon could not immediately reach a Summit Metro Parks ranger for comment.

At 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, Cuyahoga Valley National Park posted on Facebook that the intersection was closed and posted at 2:58 p.m. that it was reopened.

    Further details were not immediately
