Colfax Council approves grant application for traffic safety plan
The Colfax City Council on July 10 approved a grant application to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Transportation. According to the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) website, the grant program is part of bipartisan infrastructure law that establishes $5 billion in appropriated funds for regional, local and tribal initiatives to prevent roadway deaths and serious injuries over a five-year period (2022-26). The website notes there is still more than $3 billion available for future funding rounds.
