ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A Pensacola man was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his wife and her dog.

UPDATE: Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson issues statement on police commander’s firing

51-year-old Timothy Joseph Kramer was arrested in connection with the murder of 47-year-old Rosa Maria Kramer on July 23.

According to an arrest report from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a home on Hillcrest Avenue on Wednesday to investigate a missing person report.

When deputies arrived at the home, they learned that Rosa was missing, and they were able to put out an emergency ping on Rosa’s and Timothy’s phones, according to the report.

ECSO reportedly contacted the Milton Police Department after deputies determined Timothy’s cellphone was in their district.

“Based on interviews with occupants of the apartment, suspicion was raised regarding Timothy Kramer shooting and killing Rosa Kramer at 2641 Hillcrest Avenue,” read the report.

Deputies went to the home and tried to contact anyone inside; however, they were unsuccessful. They were able to get a search warrant, and while waiting on the warrant, they found Rosa’s car abandoned at a nearby park, according to the release.

The report said Rosa’s body was found in a back bedroom, and she appeared to have gunshot wounds. A large amount of blood was allegedly found on the floor and walls.

A dog was also found inside of the home with a gunshot wound. It was taken to a local vet, where it later died.
