A development project was filed with Escambia County’s Development Review Committee that seeks to create a retail commercial outparcel with two buildings on currently undeveloped land on South Blue Angel Parkway .

The site of the proposal is located near a Regions Bank and Winn-Dixie, which are north of the site in the Blue Angel Crossing plaza.

Both of the buildings are on their own parcel, which add up to approximately 1.9 acres combined.

At this stage of the project’s approval process, developers plan for the two buildings to be a quick-service restaurant and a medical building, each with their own parking lot.

Their addresses will be 100 and 140 S. Blue Angel Parkway, according to the project’s Information Form filed with Escambia County.

The project’s preliminary set of site plans show that the restaurant is proposed to have about 2,475 square feet of space, while the medical building is planned to be approximately 4,060 square feet.

Potential tenants for the buildings are not available at this time.

Developers want to build an access road onto South Blue Angel Parkway , which will be connected to both parking lots. Additionally, they proposed connecting the development to Winn Dixie’s parking lot with an asphalt road.

The project is set for a pre-application meeting with the DRC on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The project was filed on July 31.
