Warren Averett Opens Office In Daphne
Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors has opened an office location at 7101 Highway 90, Suite 200 in Daphne. According to AL.com, a Sunliner Diner restaurant is expected to be built in Orange Beach. The owners are seeking site plan review approval to build the restaurant at 26035 Perdido Beach Boulevard, according to city planning. The 50s-style restaurant also has a location on Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Industrial Investments paid $850,000 for a commercial property at 23226 Grissom Drive in Robertsdale, according to James Henderson of Realty Executives Bay Group, who handled the transaction. The purchase includes more than 15,000 ft2 of warehouse space, loading and unloading docks, office area and storage on 2 acres. The space was previously occupied by Dependable Machine Services. The property will be used in the future for the industrial maintenance company. A local investor paid $799,000 for 12,030 ft2 made up of multiple buildings at 10160 Airport Boulevard in Mobile, according to Chris Harle and Leigh Dale Younce of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the sellers. Angie McArthur of Stirling Properties worked for the buyer. The property will continue to be leased to existing tenants. Watch for these future projects in Baldwin County: Lillian Medical, a 4,967-ft2 medical clinic, to be developed on 3.28 acres on Barclay Avenue just north of Highway 98 in Lillian, according to Baldwin County planners, and Toy Box South Storage, which will feature two 14,000-ft2 buildings to store boats and RVs on Roscoe Road south of the Foley Beach Express in Gulf Shores.
TherapySouth Opens Second Baldwin County Location
TherapySouth, a privately owned physical therapy practice, has opened its second clinic in Baldwin County. This clinic, located at 27955 Highway 98, Suite AB in Daphne is the 44th TherapySouth location in the Southeast. “Clinic Director Andrew Rose, PT, DPT, ATC looks forward to providing quality, compassionate, hands-on physical therapy services to patients in the community. He continues to educate himself within his field of study and strives to provide the most advanced care for his patients,” according to a press release. TherapySouth specializes in orthopedic physical therapy, manual physical therapy, postoperative therapy, fall prevention and balance training, functional dry needling, injury prevention, performance enhancement, sports therapy and geriatric rehabilitation.
Fairhope Breaks Ground On New Nature Park And Trail
Seventy-two acres between Veterans Boulevard and Fly Creek in Fairhope are being restored as a nature park that will feature nature trails, outdoor classrooms for educational opportunities, a trailhead with an informational kiosk, a bicycle repair station, restrooms and parking, FOX10 reports. Flying Creek Nature Preserve, previously known as the Triangle Property, is possible with the help of the Dyas family, which owned this property for more than 40 years. “We have the beautiful bay and the bluffs along the bay. We have a very walkable community, but to be able to have something where you can get lost in nature is really special. I hope that our citizens and people who visit the area will appreciate it as much as I do,” said Fairhope Mayor Sherry Sullivan.

Dracula Play Coming To Gulf Shores
The South Baldwin Community Theater’s presentation of Dracula is slated for July 26-28 and August 2-4 at the South Baldwin Community Theatre in Gulf Shores. The Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinées start at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10-$20. This version of Dracula was written by Stephen Hotchner and is adapted from Bram Stoker’s classic.
Carroll Elected Alabama Securities Commission Chairman
The Alabama Securities Commission (ASC) has announced that Alabama Securities Commissioner and Managing Partner at Wilkins Miller in Mobile Allen Carroll was elected ASC chairman by a unanimous vote of his fellow commissioners. Carroll is serving his second term on the commission after being recommended by the Alabama Society of CPAs and being confirmed by the Alabama Senate on April 11. His practice with Wilkins Miller includes a focus on forensic accounting and consulting services. He has served as a witness and consulting expert in a variety of commercial disputes in both civil and criminal litigation and testified and consulted on issues including determination of economic damages, lost profits, accounting malpractice, white-collar criminal matters, forensic investigations and business valuations. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a BS in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Carroll is a CPA and member of the Association of International CPAs and Alabama Society of CPAs. He is also accredited in business valuation, is certified in financial forensics by the American Institute of CPAs and is a Certified Valuation Analyst.

ADOC arrests three on contraband-related charges

Gulf Sterilization Opens In Mobile
Gulf Sterilization has announced the establishment of its business as a contract sterilization provider for medical device manufacturers. It plans to develop an advanced medical device sterilization and decontamination facility at 4345 Halls Mill Road in Mobile to address supply chain and capacity pressures faced by manufacturers. It will utilize chlorine dioxide gas, which it calls an effective and environmentally friendly compound to sterilize medical devices. This project represents a $702,000 capital investment and is to create eight new jobs over the next three years. Gulf Sterilization plans to make improvements to a leased building and purchase equipment to provide its services, as well as conduct research related to the technology.
