PETERSBURG — Summerfield Schools’ school board is interviewing four superintendent candidates Friday morning. The district hopes to have a new superintendent in place in August.

Interviews will begin at 8 a.m. Friday in the high school media center, 17555 Ida West Road. The public is welcome to attend. The second round of interviews is planned for July 24.

The chosen candidate will replace Scott Salow, Summerfield’s superintendent since 2021. Salow was recently hired as the superintendent of Addison Community Schools in Lenawee County.

The board received 13 applications and on July 15 chose four to interview.

“The board felt the candidate pool was excellent,” said Rodney Green, consultant with Michigan Association of School Boards.
