Supervisors discuss flooding impact in region
LE MARS — The aftermath of major flooding that devastated parts of northwest Iowa are still being felt. During the Plymouth County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, July 23, Supervisor Gary Horton reported on a Northwest Iowa Regional Housing Authority meeting on July 17. Horton said the June floods caused extensive damage to homes, especially in the Spencer area. As many as 150 to 175 families have been dislocated by flooding.
