NW Iowa Woman Injured in One Vehicle Crash
–A Northwest Iowa woman suffered minor injuries following a one-vehicle accident just west of Algona Friday morning. According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Department, 23-year-old Devan Faye Demory of Hartley was driving westbound on County Road B40 in a 2018 Ford Explorer just before 10:30 AM Friday. As Demory was approaching the intersection with 80th Avenue, her vehicle took a hard left and went down into the south ditch.

Last Chance To Save $25 When Purchasing A Ticket For MSCR Downtown Harvest Party
Individuals wishing to attend Main Street Coon Rapids’s (MSCR) Downtown Harvest Party but also wishing to save a little money need to register by Wednesday to receive an early bird pricing discount. After July 31, tickets will still be available until the end of Aug. for the community celebration and a fundraising opportunity for the MSCR business grant program. On Saturday, Sept. 14, the second biannual Downtown Harvest Party will kick off in the downtown district of Coon Rapids, featuring a multi-course meal from local chefs, along with live music from Neva Alden. Social hour will begin at 5:00 p.m., with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds from this fundraising event will support the MSCR Business Startup and Expansion Grants to continue encouraging new or expanding existing businesses to promote economic growth in the community.
