Two People Stabbed During Fight in Small Southeast Minnesota Town
Spring Valley, MN (KROC-AM News) - Fillmore County authorities are looking for the people involved in an altercation that left two people with stab wounds. Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge says the incident occurred late Friday night outside the Kwik Trip store in Spring Valley. Deputies responded to reports of a fight shortly after 11:30 PM, but the people involved had already left the scene by the time they arrived.
Winona County woman indicted for phony cure that hurt instead of healed
ST. PAUL, Minn. – A Winona County woman has been indicted in federal court for selling a phony cure that left patients with additional injuries. Tammy Schultz Wadsworth, 62 of Stockton, has been charged with mail fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the State of Minnesota says Wadsworth cheated business owners of nearly $1 million through a multi-year sophisticated fraud scheme.
Stockton city worker punches resident he says attacked him
(KWNO)-A disagreement over grass clippings may have led to a physical altercation in Stockton. Winona County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Stockton City Hall around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday. According to a WCSO spokesperson, a city worker said a resident physically attacked him and the worker defended himself by punching the man in the face. The resident had a minor cut above his eye. The resident was apparently upset about grass clippings being blown onto his property. Neither man was arrested but the spokesperson said both could be served with citations for assault.
