Northern Michigan high school football scores, updates for Week 2

By Drew Kochanny, The Petoskey News-Review,

Welcome to Week 2 of the Michigan high school football season.

Season openers might not have gone to plan for everyone, but potentially the biggest growth a team will  go through during a season will come between Week 1 and Week 2.

In Charlevoix and Emmet Counties, Petoskey (1-0) and East Jordan (1-0) will each try to make it a 2-0 start with Bay City Western visiting the Northmen and EJ hitting the road to open conference play at Johannesburg-Lewiston.

Charlevoix (0-1), Harbor Springs (0-1) and Boyne City (0-1) will all then look to put a win on the board with road trips. The Raiders head to Oscoda, Boyne will travel down to Elk Rapids and the Rams head south to Farwell.

Also in Otsego County, Gaylord (0-1) will try to get a few more points on the board against Kingsley at home and St. Mary (1-0) will hope for the same when they bring in Central Lake.

We’ve got more than just the local game scores covered for you, however, as you’ll find scores from throughout Northern Michigan, the Upper Peninsula and down to Midland and Bay City below.
