Deputies from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department arrested a subject with two felony probation violation warrants during a traffic stop on Tuesday, July 9.

According to a probable cause statement, the deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration in the city limits of Sedalia. Authorities identified the passenger in the vehicle as Ronald Duncan, who was placed under arrest after authorities learned about his active felony warrants.

Deputies also found pills that are a scheduled 3 controlled substance and a clear glass pipe with a white crystal residue in Duncan’s possession. Duncan does have prior convictions for drug related felonies in Pettis County.

Court documents say Duncan has been charged with a felony for possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Duncan was arraigned on Thursday, July 11. A counsel status hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
