Giglio: 'This is best Phillies team I have ever seen'

Joe Giglio is already declaring this Phillies team the best he's ever seen.

"I have decided something and I am just going preemptively tell you, I don't care that it is early. Because sometimes you just see something and you feel something and you know something. They are on a 112-win pace right now. They are 17-3 in their last 20 games. This pitching staff is the best, top to bottom, in the thing.

"As I watch them every day...I am ready to say it, this is the best Phillies team I have ever seen play. And I understand they have a long way to go to win a championship and win 100 games and all that. But I am just saying, my eyes tell me, this is the best Phillies team I have ever seen."

The Phillies have won six in a row, 10 straight at home and are now an MLB best 25-11 through 36 games.

As Giglio pointed out, since June 2nd of 2023 the Phillies have played 154 total games (including the 2023 postseason) and are 99-55, which is a 103-win pace.

Philadelphia's starting rotation appears to be the most dominant in baseball, led by Zack Wheeler who is starting to cement himself as the game's best pitcher.
