Jon Ritchie on Nick Sirianni: 'We have a lame duck coach'

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni enters his fourth season with the team after last season's collapse and Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie discussed their feelings on Sirianni heading into 2024.

"We have a lame duck coach," Ritchie said of Sirianni on Monday. "Does anyone think if he struggles, if this team struggles to open the season...he will be canned. It's real possible the way things are trending, you're getting stripped of stuff left and right. The play calling, we know about that."

DeCamara admitted he felt Sirianni should have been fired after last season, but to "keep things balanced" explained why there were many factors for the Eagles' 2023 collapse that were not directly Sirianni's fault.

"I thought [Jalen] Hurts was more responsible for what went wrong near the end of the year than Sirianni," DeCamara said on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show.

"[Hurts] better get back to running effectively, because if not there's a problem," DeCamara said. "Howie [Roseman] had a hell of a hand in [the collapse] as it relates to the defense and the defensive personnel was utterly a disaster."
