    Phillies vs Mets

Baseball is back in London this weekend with the Phillies and Mets making the trip across the pond to play a two-game series. The Phillies head to London with the most wins in the National League and Ranger Suarez on the mound in Saturday’s game. The lefty is 9-1 with a 1.70 ERA, making him a clear frontrunner for Cy Young. The caveat is that Suarez left his last start with an injury after two innings. However, he’s been cleared to pitch on Saturday. On the season, the Phillies are 11-1 in games that Suarez has started while the Mets are just 8-9 against left-handed starters, although that’s a better winning percentage than when facing righties.

With Sean Manaea on the mound, the Mets also have a left on the hill in London. Despite getting rocked for six runs (five earned) over 5.2 innings against the D’Backs in his last start, Manaea had a 3.63 ERA and has been one of New York’s best starters this year. He’s hoping to help the Mets extend their three-game winning streak following a sweep in Washington earlier this week. On the other hand, Manaea has troubling numbers against several members of the Phillies, including some key complementary players. With the Phillies 17-11 against left-handed starters and nearly unbeatable with Suarez on the mound, Saturday’s London game should be an easy win for Philly.
