Jon Ritchie and Joe DeCamara are at odds over whether or not Jalen Hurts’ now infamous Nick Sirianni comments were a big deal or not, with Jon not sweating it too much.

For Jon, the bigger deal is the fact that Sirianni is still the head coach in the first place.

“This situation is crazy. You kept a guy around, even when you knew you shouldn’t,” Jon said. “I believe other coaches can do what he did with the same setup around him. I don’t have that much faith. I think Doug [Pederson] could have done something similar.”

Jon would have parted with Sirianni at the end of last season after the team collapsed and flopped in the Wild Card round against Tampa Bay. Instead, new coordinators were brought in and Sirianni’s role was diminished, and Jon can’t figure out why the Eagles wouldn’t have taken the opportunity to clean the slate and start anew.

“I do not have a lot of faith in our head coach right now, and I hope he proves me wrong,” Jon said. “You got this very strange dynamic that you signed up for, and I’m confused why you chose to do this.”
