Nick Sirianni Addresses One 'Danger' Eagles Must Avoid

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has no plans of rocking the boat too much heading into next season.

The Eagles started the 2023 campaign by winning its first five games. But record aside, the team played sluggishly in several close contests that could have easily gone the other way.

In three seasons under Sirianni, the Eagles have been known to conduct relatively "easy" training camps with the intention of keeping key players healthy.

While speaking to reporters over the weekend, Sirianni was asked about whether the team planned to change its approach in order to look sharper to start next season. Sirianni spoke on the potential "danger" that comes with trying to make any drastic changes ( H/T Pro Football Talk ).

"I think what’s very important is that we don’t overcorrect," Sirianni said, via Jimmy Kempski of the Philly Voice. "There’s a danger of overcorrecting in my eyes. You have to adapt. You have to evolve. ... Like, I don’t know how much to correct. The problem of where we stalled out last year has nothing to do with how training camp was, if that makes sense."

The veteran coach added that the Eagles' 2023 training camp preparations had "nothing to do" with the team's late collapse. The team has gone 3-0 in its Week 1 matchups since Sirianni took over in 2021.

Last season, the Eagles still managed to go 10-1 over its first 11 games. However, the wheels started to fall off to close out the year as Philadelphia lost five of its last six regular season games.

The 2023 Eagles' season ended on a sour note in a 32-9 Wild Card drubbing against Baker Mayfield the Tampa Bay Buccaneers .
