NBA veteran Paul George is back in the Eastern Conference after spending the past seven seasons in the West with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers.

George, who signed a four-year, $212 million max contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in NBA free agency, revealed on Monday that a somewhat surprising source played a role in his decision to join the Eastern Conference contender.

During a recent segment on George's 'Podcast P' show, the nine-time NBA All-Star suggested that financial 'advice' from rapper/comedian Lil Dicky in the Sixers' free agency pitch 'sold' him on joining Philadelphia.

"That sold you on coming to Philly, my part [in the video]?" David Andrew Burd a.k.a. Lil Dicky asked the 76ers forward.

"That video. It sold me," George replied.

Burd went on to reveal that his existing relationship with Sixers general manager Daryl Morey led to him being featured in the team's pitch video to George.

"[Morey] said, 'Would you be interested in being part of the pitch video?'" Burd shared. "And I said, 'Absolutely. Is there anything specific you want me to talk about?

"They didn't really have anything in specific, and I just thought, 'What would be pertinent information?'"
