    Phillies Get "Best Team In Baseball" Hype From Well Known Writer

    The Philadelphia Phillies enter the 2024 MLB All-Star Break with the best record in baseball at 62-34, four wins higher than the next closest team, the American League's Cleveland Guardians.

    The Phillies sent a league-high eight players to Tuesday's 2024 MLB All-Star Game, which will air at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.

    On Monday, longtime MLB writer Jon Paul Morosi shared his thoughts with sports talk host Jim Rome on what makes Manager Rob Thomson's Phillies the "best team in baseball," adding that "it's not even close."

    "They are to me, clearly the best roster, they're playing the best baseball, they play very well together which is really important and all phases of their roster are in sync and in harmony.

    "Look at their position players, they've got three starting infielders in the All-Star Game...They've got multiple starting pitchers...Multiple relievers.

    "When was the last time you saw that?"

    "The Phillies to me, Jim are the team to beat across MLB in the post-season.

    "I still cannot fathom, as you mentioned, how they lost that series to the Arizona Diamondbacks last season in the NLCS. I covered it, and I'm still not sure how that happened."
