NBA fans are roasting Philadelphia 76ers star and USA Basketball Men’s National Team starting center Joel Embiid for his performance Wednesday against Serbia.

Embiid has struggled significantly during the USA's first few games, prompting criticism from fans who are demanding that he be benched.

Embiid's challenges began early in the tournament. Against Canada, he scored five points and committed four turnovers. He also received a flagrant foul against Dwight Powell and fouled out in the third quarter.

Although he improved slightly against Australia, reaching double digits with 10 points, he had three turnovers.

However, Embiid's woes continued against Serbia. By halftime, he had managed four points on 1-of-5 shooting and added two more turnovers to his tally.

Meanwhile, his backup, Anthony Davis, has excelled off the bench, scoring 27 points across two games with a 52% shooting average.

The disparity in performance between Embiid and Davis has fueled fan frustration, leading to calls for Embiid to be benched in favor of the Lakers' superstar.

Critics argue that Davis has demonstrated better efficiency and impact, making a case for a change in the starting lineup.

"There is absolutely zero reason Embiid should be starting," said one fan.

"Still think Embiid should have gotten the start?" said another.

It's clear fans have had enough of Embiid in the starting lineup.
