    Philadelphia police arrest suspect in shooting of 7-month-old baby

    Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 7-month-old baby.

    Dominique Billips has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act, and other related offenses.

    The incident occurred on July 18th at approximately 5:52 p.m. when police responded to a shooting on the 4000 block of Meridian Street.

    No victims were initially found on the scene, but police then received a call about a 7-month-old baby being transported to a nearby hospital to treat a gunshot wound to the leg.

    The baby is listed in stable condition and continues to recover in the hospital.

    After investigating and tips from the public, Billips was identified as the suspect and found on the 1300 block of Van Kirk Street on July 19th.

    The police would like to thank the public for their help in this investigation.
