The Philadelphia 76ers have one of the best early betting odds to win the 2025 NBA championship, thanks to the acquisition of Paul George .

Philly is currently ranked third behind the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets in the latest Las Vegas betting boards. However, ESPN's Tim Legler believes the current Sixers team has all the ingredients needed to win the Larry O'Brien trophy next season.

"If they don't figure it out with this group t hey never will because they have everything that they need now," Legler said.

    The time is now

Tyrese Maxey 's emergence over the past year-and-a-half has elevated him to All-Star status. Last season, the Sixers guard also showed he is a legit playoff performer. He also displayed good chemistry with Joel Embiid during the postseason. They are now joined by PG, who is a huge upgrade from Tobias Harris. Not only is George a high-volume scorer, but he is also a terrific defender who can guard multiple positions on the court.

Because of this, Tim thinks this is the Sixers' time to win it all. Even though he says the Boston Celtics are still the favorites to repeat as champions, Philly fans should expect a championship, no less.

"Anything short than that, to me, should be considered a disappointment," Legler continued. "There is no question. The time is now. There'd been 41 parades in the NBA since the Sixers last had one. They're ready. The city is ready. They're ready to erupt…Philadelphia is a basketball city, and they are starving for a champion. They might finally have enough pieces to get that done."

Philly has done more than just sign PG

While George has been the Sixers' biggest addition this summer, he isn't the only move they made this offseason.

Since the start of the free agency period, GM Daryl Morey has been able to re-sign Kelly Oubre Jr. and KJ Martin. Morey has added Andre Drummond and Caleb Martin using their remaining cap space. Philadelphia also signed veterans Kyle Lowry, Eric Gordon, and, just recently, Reggie Jackson on bargain deals.

With these names surrounding Embiid and Maxey, you can't blame Legler for setting the bar high for the Sixers.
