    Man fatally shot in Kensington, 19-year-old charged with murder

    Police have identified the man who was fatally shot in Kensington on Monday night, and caught and arrested the man who did it.

    19-year-old Jaylen Holloway has been charged with Murder, Criminal Conspiracy, VUFA, and related charges for shooting and killing 27-year-old Jair Mack.

    Officers were dispatched to Kensington at 10 p.m. on July 22 and found Mack suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:53 p.m.

    The preliminary investigation shows that Mack was crossing the street with an unknown female when a dark-colored Jeep pulled up, Holloway exited the vehicle where he was a passenger and began chasing and firing shots at Mack. He then fled the scene.

    Police saw Holloway fleeing and pursued him on foot. Holloway attempted to discard the firearm and was caught by police on 3100 Potter Street.

    At this time police are still searching for the driver of the Jeep who assisted Holloway.
