Jalen Hurts Interrupts Reporter With Forceful Answer On Nick Sirianni Relationship

So much for the lingering tension between the Philadelphia Eagles' head coach and franchise quarterback.

Jalen Hurts addressed his relationship with Nick Sirianni on Wednesday, interrupting a reporter's question on the matter to insist he has full confidence in the Eagles' chief decision-makers and is "excited" to compete for a Super Bowl this season after a disappointing 2023 campaign marred by rumors of discontent between players and coaches.

"I’m excited to be back, excited to go through this journey and go through this season with everyone here. Everyone. I truly trust Mr. Lurie, I trust Howie (Roseman), [and] I trust Coach Sirianni to lead us in the right direction," he said, per Eagles Nation.

"There may be more demands from some than others, but I think to win championships, to be the team we wanna be, everyone has to buy into their role and everyone has to be fully committed to doing their part in helping the team," Hurts continued. "I’m excited to go on that journey. I feel like for me as a player, as a leader, everything that we went through last year, I just feel like I’m equipped to handle whatever’s to come."

Philadelphia began last season 10-1, looking like favorites to once again represent the NFC with the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the line. The Eagles unraveled from there, though, finishing the regular season 1-5 before being embarrassed by the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs.

The friction that sparked Philadelphia's widespread struggles late in 2023 hardly prompted major personnel changes over the offseason. Sirianni, Hurts, and star wideout AJ Brown are all back in the City of Brotherly Love, ready to let bygones by bygones in hopes of the Eagles getting back to the Super Bowl.
