PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Bucks County man has admitted his involvement in a string of robberies and abductions in Philadelphia last summer.

Prince Amoabeng, 25, of Langhorne pleaded guilty Thursday morning to aggravated assault, robbery, conspiracy, unlawful restraint, gun offenses — among other charges.

Philadelphia police arrested Amoabeng in July of last year. They say he was one of a group of men who drove around Northeast Philadelphia in a U-Haul van in June of 2023, abducting and robbing people at gunpoint.

Authorities say Amoabeng and others forced victims into the van, threatened them with guns, and demanded money. In one case, police say they drove a man to a convenience store and forced him to take money out of an ATM.

He is set to be sentenced in December.

It’s unclear if all of the suspects have been arrested.
