Philadelphia police are looking for the suspect responsible for an armed robbery at a jewelry store in Chinatown on Wednesday.
It happened on Wednesday, just before 3 p.m. on the 900 block of Arch Street near Race Street.
According to police, an unidentified man carrying an orange bag entered the jewelry store, in Chinatown.
Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a white shirt, gray pants, white mask, white sneakers, and a hat as he tries to hide his face.
Officers said the suspect entered the store and pulled out a gun to threaten the owner’s wife not to call the police and approached the glass case in the rear of the store.
Then, police said the suspect pulled out what they believe to be a hammer from the orange bag, used it to smash the glass case, and took off with four trays of 24-carat gold jewelry.
According to police, the suspect fled the store on foot and headed westbound on Arch Street towards 10th Street.
Police say the investigation is active and ongoing with the Central Detective Division.
Anyone with information on the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call police.
