JASON Kelce went viral for beating an Olympian in an arm wrestling competition.
However, many fans pointed out that they thought Kelce cheated during the arm wrestling match.
Kelce was called out by Olympic rugby star Nicole Heavirland, and got down on a table to square off with her.
He fought hard and ended up winning the match, but it was pointed out that his hand was braced against the side of the table, potentially helping him.
After posting the video, the New Heights Podcast social team commented, “We all see that left hand @JasonKelce.”
Fans came after Kelce on social media after watching him “cheat” in the match.
“Another thing that needs to be discussed when you come back. Looks like he was cheating there,” one fan said.
“That man has made it abundantly clear that he’s gonna cheat if you don’t call him on it,” another fan said.
“Well..he said in the podcast he’ll cheat to win if no body is watching it carefully..at least he’s honest with his tactics,” a third fan said.
“I’d require knee pads and a back brace,” a fourth fan said.
Kelce was quick to defend himself, and posted on X to share the rules of arm wrestling.
“Holding onto something with your off hand is completely within the rules of the International Federation of Arm Wrestling,” he posted on X.
Despite his defense of the rules, some are still calling him out for the performance in the arm wrestling match.
Devon Larratt, a professional arm wrestler, has challenged Kelce to a match to see if he is really good at arm wrestling.
“If he’s looking for problems, please allow me to introduce myself,” Larratt told TMZ Sports .
“Normally I don’t make such offers. But the way he handled that Olympic girl there, I think he’s ready.”
Larratt thinks Kelce has some technique issues that he could clean up first, but he would love to challenge him in a match.
The East vs West Arm Wrestling Promotion is holding an event in Orlando, Florida, on August 10, and Larratt invited Kelce to challenge him there.
“You tell Jason Kelce to come and I will be there,” Larratt said.
Even if they don’t square off, Larratt said he loved that Kelce arm wrestling shed some light on the sport, especially female competitors.
He named Barbora Bajčiová and Olga Terpelova and said he would love to see more women get into arm wrestling.
