The Philadelphia Phillies (65-44) enter Saturday on a 4-12 skid since July 12th. While the team has underperformed for the better part of three weeks, players on their injured list have continued to work their way back. Here is the latest news and updates from the Philadelphia Phillies injury report.

    10/15-Day Injured List

    RHP Taijuan Walker

Taijuan Walker (3-3, 5.60 ERA; right index finger inflammation) began his rehab assignment with the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils on July 31st. He pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out three.

Manager Rob Thomson said that Walker's next rehab start will come with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs where he is expected to pitch "four or five" innings. Walker is expected to return to the Phillies after their West Coast trip.

    RHP Spencer Turnbull

Spencer Turnbull (3-0, 2.65 ERA; right lat strain) threw 10 pitches in a bullpen session on July 29th at Citizens Bank Park. He is expected to continue his rehab in Clearwater, Florida.

Turnbull will need a rehab stint to ramp back up, but the Phillies have already stated that they do not believe there will be enough time to stetch him out as a starter. Turnbull is expected to return in late August or early September as a reliever.

    LHP Ranger Suarez

Ranger Suarez (10-5, 2.87 ERA; lower back soreness) is resting his back in preperation for his return to the rotation. He is expected to return for the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks (59-51).

    RHP Dylan Covey

Dylan Covey (right shoulder strain) began a rehab assignment with the Double-A Fightin Phils on July 28th. Prior to the rehab assignment, he had not pitched in a game since March 1st. The Phillies are currently unsure of when he will make his season debut.

    RHP Andrew Painter

Andrew Painter ( Tommy John surgery) has progressed to throwing off of a mound in Clearwater, Florida. He is not expected to participate in any game action this season.
