The Philadelphia Phillies (65-44) entered Saturday's game coming off of their third blowout loss in 14 games. Bryce Harper has been struggling along with the rest of the Phillies, entering Saturday's game on an 0-23 streak at the plate.

That streak would come to an end in his second at bat, coming in the fourth inning, with his 350th career double.

That double came on the 12th pitch of Harper's at bat, locked in battle with Seattle Mariners (58-53) starter Bryce Miller . Harper fouled off six pitches in the at bat, before driving the 12th pitch the other way into left centerfield for his 23rd double of the season.

Harper, 31, entered Saturday's game with a .271/.366/.534 line on the season with 24 home runs, 67 RBI, and a 150 OPS+. After his 350th career double, he is now one base away from 3,000 total bases in his career.

The Phillies offense scored early Saturday night. The top of the first inning began with a lead off single from Kyle Schwarber , his second in as many games, followed by a double from Trea Turner that allowed Schwarber to reach third. Harper would pop out in foul territory before a groundout from Alec Bohm would allow Schwarber to scamper home and put the Phillies up 1-0.

Kolby Allard has had a scoreless outing through three innings as the follower for this game. He has struck out three batters to this point in the game.

Harper's 350th career double moves him into sole possession of 11th place in active career leaders in doubles. Freddie Freeman is the current leader with 499, and Harper's teammate Nick Castellanos ranks ninth with 363.
