The Philadelphia Phillies (65-55) entered Saturday night needing a win to force a rubber match in their weekend series with the Seattle Mariners (58-54). The offense would stake the Phillies to a five run lead after a four-run fourth inning, but it would not hold as the Mariners would storm back to take the lead, the win, and the series. The Phillies have now dropped six conesecutive series.
Harper Ends 0-for-24 Streak
Bryce Harper entered Saturday night in the midst of the worst slump of his career. Going just one for his last 34, including 0-for-24, it has not been the Bryce Harper that the Phillies Phaithful have come to know and love.
Leading off the fourth inning, Harper would come to the plate for his second at bat of the night. After a 12-pitch battle with Mariners starter Bryce Miller (8-7, 3.62 ERA), Harper would drive a knuckle curve into left center field for his 23rd double of the season. It would also be the 350th double of his career.
Birthday Boy Brings Bunches Home
Alec Bohm celebrated his birthday in the best way he knew how on Saturday night, by driving in runners. The Phillies' RBI leader started the party early with an RBI groundout in the first, scoring Kyle Schwarber from third. Three innings later, Bohm would hit a single up the middle into center field, scoring two more runners, and giving him a total of three RBI on the night.
Bohm finished his night going 1-for-5 with three RBI. He now has 76 RBI this season.
WPA Leader of the Game
Saturday's WPA leader of the game is Mitch Haniger . Haniger earned the Mariners the win on Saturday night with a walk-off walk in the bottom of the 10th, giving them a 6-5 win. Haniger finished his night 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, two walks, and two runs. His WPA finished at 37.9.

Next up for the Phillies is the finale of this three game series. The Phillies will send Zack Wheeler (10-5, 2.94 ERA) to the mound while the Mariners will turn to Logan Gilbert (6-7, 3.11 ERA).
