Forever Coogs represents the University of Houston, with former Cougars standout Rob Gray spurring the charge. Gray is averaging 20 points per game and netted 18 points — including the game-winner — to defeat Eberlein Drive in the semifinal.
The two universities have only met twice before on the hardwood in official DI men's basketball, splitting the two games. The most recent meeting came in 2019, when the Cougars defeated the Buckeyes to punch their ticket to the Sweet Sixteen.
